Belgian top-flight side Cercle Brugge are close to reaching an agreement to sign former Nigeria U17 winger Tunde Akinsola from Portuguese club AVS.
Akinsola is keen to leave AVS following the club’s relegation from the Portuguese top flight. The winger joined the Portuguese side permanently in 2024 on a free transfer from Real Valladolid after initially spending a season with AVS on loan.
The former Nigeria U17 international has been a regular contributor for AVS and finished last season with two goals and four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
Cercle Brugge have now moved forward in their pursuit of the winger, with negotiations understood to be at an advanced stage. A move to Belgium would give Akinsola an opportunity to continue his development in a top European division.
The deal is yet to be completed, but Cercle Brugge are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with AVS for the Nigerian winger.
