Arsenal have opened talks with Galatasaray over a potential move for Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, with the Premier League club exploring the possibility of bringing the prolific striker to England. The discussions come as Galatasaray continue to fend off interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Galatasaray have reportedly rejected a €130 million offer from Al-Hilal for Osimhen. The Saudi club remain interested in the 27-year-old forward, but the Turkish champions have so far shown no willingness to part with their star striker, who remains under contract with the club.
Osimhen came close to a Premier League move two years ago when Chelsea held advanced talks with Napoli over his signing. The deal ultimately collapsed, with the Nigerian instead joining Galatasaray on loan before the Turkish club made his transfer permanent for a reported €75 million.
Since arriving in Turkey, Osimhen has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific forwards, scoring 59 goals in 74 appearances for Galatasaray. He has helped the club win back-to-back Super Lig titles, including a standout 2025/26 campaign in which he scored 22 goals and provided six assists in 33 league appearances.
Arsenal’s interest now gives Osimhen another potential route to the Premier League, two years after his proposed move to Chelsea fell through. However, with Galatasaray already rejecting a €130 million Al-Hilal proposal, any Arsenal deal is likely to require a significant financial commitment. Talks are ongoing, with no agreement reached at this stage.
