Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad are preparing to open negotiations with Beşiktaş over a potential transfer for Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi, with the midfielder emerging as a target for the Jeddah-based club.
Ndidi joined Beşiktaş from Leicester City in the summer of 2025 for a reported €8 million and signed a contract running until 2028, with an option for an additional year. The 29-year-old made 31 appearances across all competitions during his first season in Turkey.
Al-Ittihad have previously shown interest in the Super Eagles midfielder and could now make a renewed approach. The Saudi club are reportedly considering a proposal in the region of €10.5 million, potentially rising to €12.5 million with add-ons, although no formal agreement has been reached.
Ndidi’s position at Beşiktaş has become less certain following the arrival of head coach Vincenzo Italiano. The Turkish club are understood to value the midfielder at around €10 million, meaning negotiations could determine whether he remains in Istanbul or makes the move to Saudi Arabia.
Al-Ittihad are looking to strengthen their midfield following the departures of Fabinho and N’Golo Kanté, and Ndidi’s experience in the Premier League, European football and with Nigeria makes him an attractive option. Formal talks between the two clubs are expected, but Ndidi remains a Beşiktaş player for now.
