Saudi Arabian club Al Wehda has completed the signing of Nigerian forward Peter Olayinka, bringing in the seasoned attacker ahead of the new campaign, Naija Footy reports.
The transfer was finalized after the club obtained financial clearance from the Saudi Ministry of Sport.
Olayinka arrives with a Transfermarkt market value of €2.5m, according to the latest valuation updated in June 2026. The 30-year-old, who can operate as a left winger or centre-forward, has built an extensive European career and previously represented clubs in the Czech Republic, Belgium, Serbia and Cyprus.
Most recently, he was with APOEL Nicosia, where he made three appearances and scored once since joining in February 2026. Prior to that, he played for Red Star Belgrade, making 46 appearances and scoring 14 goals.
Olayinka’s most successful European stint was at Slavia Prague, with 183 appearances, 50 goals, and 26 assists, according to Transfermarkt. During a loan at Zulte Waregem, he recorded 11 goals and 15 assists in 40 appearances, showcasing his offensive skills and creativity.
Joining Al Wehda marks a new chapter for the former Nigeria international, who has four caps with the Super Eagles. With a €2.5 million market valuation and broad European experience, Olayinka is expected to deliver attacking prowess and leadership as Al Wehda gears up for the upcoming season.
