Nigerian defender Nduka Junior has completed his move to Indian Super League side Sporting Club Delhi, signing a one-year contract with an option to extend for another season. The 23-year-old becomes the club’s marquee foreign signing ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Nduka joins Sporting Club Delhi from Iraqi side Al-Najaf FC, having moved to the club in January 2026. He previously spent the first part of the 2025/26 season with Erbil SC after leaving Remo Stars, where he established himself as captain and helped the club win the Nigeria Premier Football League title in 2025.
The centre-back made 26 appearances for Al-Najaf during the 2025/26 season. At international level, Nduka has earned two senior Nigeria caps and scored one goal, having also captained the Super Eagles at the 2025 African Nations Championship.
Nduka’s current market value is €150,000. The 1.81m defender can also operate as a defensive midfielder or right-back, giving Sporting Club Delhi additional versatility in their defensive setup.
The agreement with Sporting Club Delhi runs for one season, covering the 2026/27 Indian Super League campaign, with an option to extend the contract by a further year. The move marks another step in Nduka’s career after spells with Remo Stars, Erbil SC and Al-Najaf FC.
