Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez has completed his move from Millwall to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, bringing an end to his two-year spell with the Championship club.
The 25-year-old has signed a four-year contract with Brighton, with an option for a further season. The deal was completed on deadline day after the clubs submitted the required paperwork before the original deadline.
Azeez leaves Millwall after an outstanding 2025/26 campaign in which he scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in the Championship. He was named in both the PFA and EFL Championship Teams of the Season, while his performances also earned him his first Nigeria call-up.
The winger joined Millwall from Reading in August 2024, having previously made 89 senior appearances for Reading, scoring 11 goals. Across his Millwall spell, he recorded 15 goals and 13 assists in 77 appearances before securing his Premier League move.
The transfer fee has been widely reported at around £15 million, with reports putting the initial payment at approximately £12.5 million and the overall package potentially rising to £15 million. Brighton’s sporting director Mike Cave described Azeez as an exciting attacking talent after his impressive season with Millwall.
Azeez also made a strong start to his international career, scoring twice on his Nigeria debut against Zimbabwe before providing an assist against Jamaica during the Unity Cup. He now becomes the latest Nigerian to make the step up to the Premier League, with Brighton hoping his pace, directness and goal contributions can translate to the top flight.
