Al-Qadsiah Close In on Nigerian Star After Leipzig Agreement

Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer of Nigerian winger Suleman Sani, with the total package reportedly worth between €9 million and €10 million including bonuses.

The 19-year-old has attracted significant interest following his rapid rise in European football. Al-Qadsiah accelerated their pursuit in the final hours of the transfer window and have now reached an agreement with Leipzig, moving ahead of Premier League side West Ham United, who had also pushed for the Nigerian.

Sani joined Leipzig from AS Trenčín in January 2026, signing a contract that runs until June 2031. The German club paid an initial €5 million for the winger, with the deal potentially rising to around €6 million with add-ons. Before moving to Slovakia, Sani played for Akwa United, where he recorded an impressive 11 goals and five assists in 15 league appearances during the 2023/24 season.

The youngster’s current market value stands at €5 million, while his Transfermarkt profile lists him as a left winger. During his spell at AS Trenčín, he made 40 appearances and scored five goals, before earning his move to the Bundesliga.

The proposed agreement is a permanent transfer to Al-Qadsiah, with the overall package understood to be worth €9m–€10m including bonuses. Personal terms between Sani and the Saudi club are still being negotiated, although there is confidence that an agreement will be reached soon. If completed, the move would bring an early end to his spell in Germany after just seven months at Leipzig.
