Nigerian winger Joseph Arumala has completed a move from NPFL side Ikorodu City to Egyptian club Ittihad Alexandria, bringing an end to his one-year spell with the Lagos-based club.
Arumala was one of the standout performers in the NPFL during the 2025/26 season, scoring 13 goals for the Oga Boys. His impressive campaign established him as one of the leagueās most productive attacking players and attracted interest from outside Nigeria.
The 25-year-old joined Ikorodu City ahead of the 2025/26 campaign and quickly became an important figure in the team. His goals helped the club finish fourth in the NPFL, although they narrowly missed out on qualification for continental competition.
Arumala will now continue his career in Egypt, where he is set to play as a left winger for Ittihad Alexandria. The move represents his first opportunity to play professional football outside Nigeria and offers the winger a chance to gain valuable experience in Egyptian football.
According to Transfermarkt, Arumala has a current market value of ā¬250,000. After a breakthrough season in the NPFL, the winger will now look to make his mark in Egypt and take the next step in his career.
