Marseille consider January exit for Nnadi as transfermarkt value hits €4.5m

French Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille could allow Super Eagles midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi to leave in the January transfer window, with the Nigerian reportedly facing an uncertain future at the club less than a year after his arrival from Belgium, Naijafooty.com gathered.

According to a report by Soccernet, citing information from Get French Football News relayed by Afrik-Foot, Marseille are considering either selling the 23-year-old or sending him out on loan. The midfielder joined the French side from Zulte Waregem in February in a deal reportedly worth €6m but has struggled to establish himself as a regular option.

Nnadi’s situation is also linked to Marseille’s financial concerns, with the club reportedly under scrutiny from French football’s financial watchdog, the DNCG, over its financial obligations. The club must address its financial position before June 2027, while a failure to meet the requirements could result in sporting sanctions, making player sales a possible route to raising funds.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Nnadi retains a notable market valuation. According to Transfermarkt , the Super Eagles midfielder is valued at €4.5 million, based on the website’s latest listed update of June 1, 2026. The figure places his current valuation below the reported €6m fee Marseille paid to secure his services from the Belgian club.

For Nigeria, the priority will be ensuring that Nnadi secures regular playing time, whether he remains in France or moves elsewhere in January. The defensive midfielder’s ability to win possession and contribute in central areas could make him an important option for the Super Eagles, but his next move may prove crucial to his development at club and international level.
