Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, and goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo have arrived in Nigeria for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier taking place on Friday, Naijafooty.com reports.
The players are among the early arrivals in camp as Nigeria intensifies preparations for the opening Group L fixture against Madagascar.
Upon arriving in the country, they settled in and shared a meal together, marking the start of their preparations for this important international task.
Iwobi, Aina, Osayi-Samuel, Bassey, and Ajayi bring substantial international experience to the team, while Okonkwo offers another option in goal for head coach Eric Chelle.
The Super Eagles plan to continue their preparation with training sessions as more players join the camp. Chelle intends to use these sessions to evaluate his squad and refine his tactical strategy for the upcoming match.
Nigeria will meet Madagascar on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, launching the Super Eagles’ campaign in their quest for a spot in the 2027 AFCON tournament.
