Nigeria international Terem Moffi has agreed on personal terms with Hamburger SV, while the Bundesliga club continues discussions with OGC Nice for a permanent transfer.
The 27-year-old forward is close to leaving Nice, with the clubs anticipated to settle the final details soon. Moffi’s current market value is around €8 million, and he has a contract with the French club until June 2027.
Moffi moved to Nice from Lorient in January 2023 after a standout performance in Ligue 1. His time at Nice has been hampered by injuries and limited playing chances. He spent the latter half of last season on loan at FC Porto before heading back to Nice.
The Super Eagles striker has netted 54 goals in 148 Ligue 1 matches during his periods with Lorient and Nice. Internationally, he has won 23 caps and scored six goals for Nigeria.
Talks between Hamburg and Nice are still underway, and the transfer fee hasn’t been revealed yet. If finalized, this transfer would offer Moffi a new opportunity in the Bundesliga as Hamburg looks to bolster their squad following their return to Germany’s top league.
