Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has celebrated reaching 100 Premier League appearances for Fulham following the club’s 2–1 defeat to Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The 26-year-old Nigerian international completed the full 90 minutes in the Matchday Six encounter, achieving the milestone despite Fulham suffering another disappointing result in their search for a league victory.
Fulham appeared on course for their first league win of the season after Ryan Sessegnon gave them the lead in the 55th minute. However, Ipswich mounted a late comeback, with Abdoul Ouattara equalising in the 88th minute before captain Dara O’Shea scored the winner in stoppage time to seal a 2–1 victory.
Following the milestone, Bassey shared a message on his Instagram story, expressing pride in the achievement while acknowledging the difficult period facing the team.
“Thank you for the support. I know it’s a difficult period, but we’ve got to stay together & fight as one.
“Personally so proud to have played my 100th Premier League game.”
Bassey becomes the 28th player to reach 100 Premier League appearances for Fulham and the second Nigerian to achieve the feat for the London club, after his Super Eagles teammate Alex Iwobi. Since joining Fulham from Ajax in July 2023, the defender has established himself as an important member of the squad.
The landmark comes at a challenging time for Fulham, who are still searching for their first league win of the campaign. Nevertheless, Bassey’s message underlines his determination to remain united with his teammates as they look to turn their early-season fortunes around.
