Super Eagles winger Yira Sor has returned to team training at Turkish club Amedspor after spending about six weeks on the sidelines with an injury, Naijafooty.com reports.
The 26-year-old sustained the injury during Amedspor’s 2-1 victory over Trabzonspor on August 31, 2026, and subsequently underwent treatment and rehabilitation before rejoining his teammates.
Sor had made an encouraging start to life at the Turkish club after joining in August, scoring once in his first three league appearances. His goal came against Trabzonspor, although the encounter also marked the beginning of his injury absence.
The winger’s return to training comes as Amedspor prepare for their Turkish Super Lig meeting with Konyaspor on Saturday. His availability for the fixture, however, will depend on his fitness and the technical crew’s assessment of his readiness to return to competitive action.
Sor will be hoping to regain full fitness quickly and resume his promising start with the Turkish side after the injury interrupted his progress. His return also gives Amedspor another attacking option as they prepare for their upcoming league commitments.
The Nigerian international made his Super Eagles debut earlier in 2026 in a friendly against Jordan and will be keen to maintain his club form as he seeks further opportunities with the national team.
